Yonex

Sanwa X Tennis Academy, our official Yonex-affiliated coaching centre at NTU@one-north, uses Yonex tennis Singapore equipment throughout all coaching programmes. Yonex is a leading Japanese sports equipment manufacturer. In particular, the brand produces a wide range of tennis gear, including rackets, headwear, wristbands, and apparel for both men and women.

Many tennis athletes have joined the Yonex brand throughout their careers. Notable players include Elena Rybakina, Casper Ruud, and Caroline Garcia. Furthermore, Stan Wawrinka, Naomi Osaka, Angelique Kerber, Denis Shapovalov, Jessica Pegula, and Frances Tiafoe also compete using Yonex.

For example, Coach Ochi and Coach Kento wear Yonex tennis apparel and use Yonex rackets in every session.

As the leading Yonex tennis Singapore destination, Sanwa X is proud to be a Yonex-affiliated academy. We therefore use Yonex rackets, strings, and training equipment across all our programmes.

Why Sanwa X Uses Yonex Equipment

Yonex rackets and strings are the preferred choice of numerous ATP and WTA professionals. Their precision engineering translates directly to improved performance for club and academy players. At Sanwa X, our coaches have tested equipment across different string tensions and racket weights. In addition, Yonex consistently delivers the power, control, and durability that suits Singapore’s high-humidity conditions. Students looking to purchase their first racket or upgrade can speak to a Sanwa X coach for a tailored recommendation. Contact us or visit the tennis lessons Singapore page to get started.

Yonex Rackets Recommended for Singapore Players

Singapore’s tropical climate — high humidity, warm temperatures, and frequent rain — places specific demands on tennis equipment. Yonex manufactures rackets with precision-moulded carbon graphite frames. As a result, these frames maintain structural integrity in humid conditions better than many competing brands. For baseline players at Sanwa X, our coaches most frequently recommend the Yonex EZONE and VCORE families. These rackets offer a balance of power and control suited to Singapore’s hard courts. Additionally, string tension matters in humid conditions. We therefore recommend stringing 2–3 lbs below the standard range to account for humidity.
