Toddler Tennis Singapore – Fun Introduction to Tennis for Ages 3–5
Tennis for toddlers? Absolutely. Sanwa X Tennis Academy offers toddler tennis programmes in Singapore for children as young as 3 or 4 years old, using specially adapted equipment and coaching methods to introduce the sport in the most age-appropriate, fun way possible.
Mini Tennis for Young Children
Our youngest programmes use foam balls, smaller racquets, and modified courts to make tennis perfectly scaled for tiny players. The focus is not on technique at this age — it is on developing coordination, movement, and a genuine love of the sport through play-based activities that happen to build athletic skills.
What Toddlers Develop in Tennis
- Hand-eye coordination — one of tennis’s greatest developmental gifts for young children
- Gross motor skills — running, jumping, stopping, turning
- Listening and following instructions — great for school readiness
- Social skills — taking turns, encouraging others, playing as part of a group
- Confidence — celebrating small wins and trying new things
A Safe, Supervised Environment
Our coaches who work with young children are experienced, patient, and genuinely love working with this age group. Sessions are energetic, structured enough to be productive, and fun enough that children look forward to every class. Parents are welcome to observe.

What Parents Say About Our Toddler Tennis Programme
Parents consistently tell us that the toddler tennis programme gives their children a head start in physical literacy and social confidence. Sessions are kept deliberately playful — we use oversized foam balls, low nets, and colourful targets to keep attention high and frustration low. Children develop hand-eye coordination, balance, and basic spatial awareness while having fun on the court. Many of our toddler graduates move seamlessly into our Junior Starter programme at age five or six, already ahead of peers who are picking up a racket for the first time.
